BP Caught Red-Handed!

BP Is Guilty Of Deliberately Falsifying Information

by Oliver Silverstein

July 20, 2010

Sources within the oil industry with access to unpublished information about the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill disaster have been providing information on a near-daily basis regarding the disinformation, lack of honesty, falsehoods and outright deliberate deception by BP.

We reported back on May 13, 2010 that the Gulf Oil Spill was much worse than what was then being reported by both the U.S. Government and BP.

Since that time, the "official" estimates of the daily oil flow into the Gulf have been steadily climbing. Our sources within the oil industry are gradually being proven correct, week by passing week.

In a related development, Spokesman Scott Dean has admitted that BP has used the popular Photoshop software to add images to a bank of of 10 giant video screens displaying underwater images at its command center in Houston.

Two of those screens were blank, but BP wanted to make the activity at its command center look more robust and exhaustive, so a worker altered a photo of the command center that was posted to the BP website by falsely including images on the two blank screens.

The official position of BP management is that the photographer was simply "showing off his Photoshop skills and there was no ill intent."

Of course, BP is trying to imply that this was the lone action of a single employee and was done without the knowledge or consent of BP officials.

With BP's track record, that position is simply too hard to swallow.

Here is the before and after image:

BP has been caught red-handed having falsified information. In this instance, the information was images at the command center.

BP is guilty of falsification. Period. This falsification is not limited to just images on their website. They must be removed from the disaster and replaced by an honest, competent team that has the best interests of the Gulf residents at heart, without a profit motive as the top priority.

As a country, we have too much to lose by letting BP remain.
